We offer the ease and simplicity of a full event planning experience under one roof. Consider us a one-stop, individualized event shop; from décor to DJs to customized dinner menus, we will handle all the stress of organizing your dream celebration. In order to make each event unique and memorable, we develop personal relationships with our clients. At Bread+Butter Events, we create atmospheres that are striking yet personal. Our Food

Food should be the focal point of your event, a culinary experience that sticks with your guests for years to come. Our mission is to deliver the highest level of cuisine, comparable to a full scale restaurant. Flavor and craft often go by the wayside; at Bread+Butter Events, we feel that they need to play a prominent role in making your event stand out.

Each event menu is individually crafted based on the memories and experiences of our clients. Rather than choose from several pre-set menu packages, you will work closely with our culinary development team to craft a unique and personalized menu. Highlighting seasonality and simplicity, we use all locally sourced ingredients from the tri-state area. Starting at $65 a head, the Standard Menu below gives you a launching point to start building from.

Our Food and Beverage program is run by Chef Lucas Manteca, a James Beard Chef Nominee and the man behind the curtain at the most outstanding restaurants experiences in South Jersey: Quahogs Seafood Shack, The Red Store, Taco Shop and The Little Store Bakery.

Our Venues

With a great sense of pride in our restaurant group, we are happy to offer each of our spaces as a possible venue for your next event. Whether an intimate dinner party at the award-winning The Red Store, an authentic Jersey Shore experience at LeBan-favorite Quahog’s Seafood Shack, or a fun and festive cantina-themed shindig at Taco Shop. Each venue offers fresh and exciting cuisine that is sure to wow your guests.

Depending on the season, flat fees are available that include food, service, site fee, and non-alcoholic beverages. Each of our restaurants have a max capacity and are BYOB. We assist with hiring bartenders and obtaining the permits in order to have liquor at your event.

Quahogs Seafood Shack
Located in Stone Harbor, NJ, Quahogs combines a classic NE seafood shack with creative, South American inspired cuisine. Perfect for clam bake inspired bridal showers, lively rehearsal dinners featuring our signature dish the BBQ Pacu Pacu Ribs, and birthday dinners with your summer family before a night on the town. 50 person minimum, 150 person maximum.

Taco Shop
Our newest addition to the family, Taco Shop is located in the Cape May Airport next to the Cape May Brewery. Specializing in authentic Mexican cuisine like street tacos and corn, we can’t wait to host your cantina themed fiesta! 30 person maximum.

The Red Store 

Tucked away in Cape May Point, NJ, The Red Store is our refined but casual solution to your small gathering needs. By day a family friendly brunch place, coffee counter, and general store, The Red Store transforms into an elegant casual fine dining experience by night. We specialize in intimate dining experiences featuring eclectic menus inspired by South Jersey’s finest ingredients.  60 person maximum for a sit down dinner. 


Our partnerships and friendships with truly amazing destinations around South Jersey give us access to unique event locations. We will work with you to find the one that suits your vision as well as your budget. Whether you envision handcrafted hors d’oeuvres served in a historic World War II hangar or a beautifully plated local sirloin under the stars, the possibilities are endless.

Beyond our recommendations, we are open to creative ideas such as entertaining in private homes. We will work the site fee, administration fee, and rentals into your rates after customizing the perfect menu to fit the space and occasion.

About Us


Lucas Manteca, Head of Culinary Development Team

A James Beard Nominated Chef, Lucas is the man behind the curtain of South Jersey’s most outstanding restaurant experiences, including Quahogs Seafood Shack, The Red Store, Taco Shop, and Little Store Bakery. Lucas’ passion for food and surf has led him around the world, from Buenos Aires to Costa Rica to the Jersey Shore. Together with his wife Deanna Ebner, Manteca has built Bread and Butter Inc.

Shelby Townsend, Special Events Planner

With an eclectic background in music, hospitality, victim advocacy and trauma counseling, Shelby knows the value of listening to and understanding her clients in order to make each event unique and memorable. Based in Stone Harbor, NJ, Shelby loves art, live music, Korean BBQ and wildflowers.

Jackie Yeager, Daytime Manager at The Red Store

With over thirty years of experience in the food and hospitality industry, Jackie brings limitless energy and experience to events hosted at our venue, The Red Store, where she has been the daytime manager for five years. Based in Cape May, NJ, Jackie is heavily involved in her church, local radio station and The Cape May Food Closet.
